Andrea Hargraves, Certified Nurse Midwife

Andrea is a native of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She graduated in 1977 from Wagner College in Staten Island, New York with a bachelor of science degree in nursing. In 1995 earned a master of science degree in nurse-midwifery from University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida.

Andrea is a member of American College of Nurse Midwives.

Andrea enjoys working with women, especially by supporting them through pregnancy, birth and other life cycles changes. Andrea states, “As a Labor & Delivery floor nurse, I was not able to meet these needs for women and decided to become a Certified Nurse Midwife.”

Andrea has been with Shaw Center for Women’s Health since 2000.

She and her husband, Fred, have a son and daughter.
