Rebecca is a native of Thomasville, Georgia. She received her Bachelors of Science in Nursing from Georgia Southern University in 1995 and her Masters of Science in Nursing from Valdosta State University in 1998. She is certified as an Adult and Family Nurse Practitioner by the American Academy of Nurse Practioners.
Rebecca worked for Archbold Medical Center for eleven years before entering a family practice and primary care health environment in 2001. During those years she discovered her love of pediatrics and women's health which prompted her return to Florida State University to extend her training to obtain the certification for Family Nurse Practitioner. Rebecca joined "The Shaw Team" in December 2011 to promote wellness and meet the primary care needs of women and teenage girls at "Shaw Living".
She is an active member of First Baptist Church in Thomasville and participates in foreign medical missions. She also serves as an adjunct professor of nursing at Thomas University. She enjoys reading, the beach, scrapbooking, and spending time with her husband Rick and two children.
