Martha S. Ward, MD

Dr. Ward is originally from Monticello, Florida.  She received her B.S. degree from Auburn University, and completed her MD training at the University of Alabama School of Medicine in June, 1997.  Dr. Ward continued her medical education with internships and residency work at the University of Alabama Hospitals and Clinics in Birmingham, Alabama from 1977-1980.

In 1980, Dr. Ward came to Thomasville as a Board Certified Internal Medicine physician and has been working in private practice, as a primary care consultant with Southwestern State Hospital, and as an Emergency Room physician with the South Georgia Emergency Physicians for Archbold Medical Center's hospital group for the past 20+ years.

Dr. Ward joined the Shaw Provider team in January 2012 as the supervising and consulting Primary Care Physician for Shaw Living, serving the primary care needs of women and adolescent girls in the region.

Dr. Ward is a member of First Baptist Church of Thomasville.  She enjoys spending time with her 5 children and 7 grandchildren during her time off.  She is also the proud owner of two nice fishing rods and reels for fair weather use.
