    Office Hours and Appointments

Our office hours are 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday
and from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM on Thursdays. We are closed on traditional holidays.

If you have an emergency when our office is closed, you may call the hospital at 229-228-2000 and the operator will promptly notify the physician or midwife on call, who will return your call as quickly as possible. There are times when the physician and midwife are busy with other patients or emergencies so we do ask for your understanding at these times.

Office visits are by appointment and can by scheduled by calling 229-226-8800. Please arrive early to allow for registration information to be completed or updated. You may receive a reminder call prior to your appointment and this is a good time to ask any questions you may have about your appointment. If you must cancel an appointment, please try to call at least 24 hours in advance so that other patients can be scheduled in that time slot.

As a gynecology patient, you may choose the physician, nurse practitioner, or nurse midwife you would like to see when scheduling your appointment. In emergency situations, you will usually be seen by the physician on call or the first available physician or nurse practitioner.

As an obstetric patient, physicians, midwives, and nurse practitioners are available for your prenatal care. We have assembled a highly qualified obstetrical team to provide you with the very best obstetrical care. Your initial visit will be with the midwife or nurse practitioner for your counseling, education, and initial physical exam. You will probably be at our office for more than an hour for your first visit. Your followup visits will be rotated among the physicians and midwives to allow everyone to be familiar with your case.

After each visit, you will schedule your next visit with the provider of your choice, however, we do ask that you see both a physician and a midwife. During your pregnancy you will designate if you have a preference of a physician or a midwife on call at the time of your delivery.

    Fees

Our fees are within the customary range for this area and reflect the level of care you will receive and the high level of training by the physicians and practitioners in the group. We encourage you to ask questions about them. In order to keep our fees at a minimum, we ask that you pay at the time of service so that we do not have to send bills.

We accept cash, checks, and most major credit cards. We will gladly file your insurance for you and work with you and the insurance company to ensure maximum reimbursement. We must remind you, however, that you are ultimately responsible for your bill, regardless of your insurance coverage. We accept Medicaid/Medicare assignment. Medicaid patients must present a valid card at the time of each visit.

As an obstetric patient, you will receive financial counseling during your first visit at which time additional information will be given to you explaining the services and fees.

You are welcome to discuss any and all fees with our billing assistants to arrange payment schedules that will be convenient and acceptable. If any financial problems arise, please let us know.

    Medical Records

Maureen in records. All of your medical records are confidential. We will release the records or any parts of them only if we have your written authorization. No matter the circumstances, we will not release these records unless we have some notification that you wish us to do as such.

Also to protect your confidentiality, we allow only our licensed practical nurses to give lab or test results over the phone. When calling for results, please request to speak with one of the nurses.
